Jami Bernard
Author and nationally known former film critic Jami Bernard helps struggling authors and entrepreneurs find their voice and finish their book. Unlike one-size-fits-all book factories, she personally guides writers through every step of the process on the way to having an exceptional book they can be proud of. Although she can only take on a handful of clients each year, she has prepared dozens to go on and get agents and book contracts.
Major houses — including Penguin, Warner Books, HarperCollins, and Perseus — have published Jami’s books. She has made hundreds of appearances on radio and TV — including “Oprah” — and thousands (you read that right) of her articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines, including Entertainment Weekly, The Washington Post, Seventeen, Glamour, Billboard and Self.
Jami has appeared as herself in documentaries, including the IFC’s Indie Sex series, on which she was also a consultant. She is widely known for her 20 years as a film critic for The New York Post and New York Daily News, and had her own celebrity podcast on Redband back in the day.
Among the published pieces of which she is most proud is a Lois Lane comic she wrote for DC Comics, where Lois is based on Jami’s early career as a writer and editor for New York City dailies.
